COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF THE IRON-CHELATING PROPERTIES, ANTIRADICAL AND TOTAL ANTIOX-IDANT ACTIVITY OF EXTRACTS FROM THE RAW MATERIAL OF PHYTOPREPARATIONS OF COMMON ME-DICINAL HERBS

The paper presents results of the comparative study iron-chelating potential and antioxidant activity raw material phytopreparations analysis correlations between these activities content phenolic compounds as most important plant antioxidants. total was determined by Folin-Chokalteu method, che-lating evaluated using ferrozine antiradical DPPH assay, (reducing) capacity assessed phosphomolybdenum method. A strong positive correlation found con-tent all parameters properties phytopreparations. dataset (total phenolics, chelating, reducing activities) allows arranging in order: Origani herba > Uvae Ursi folia, Hyperici Helichrysi arenarii flores Millefolii Equiseti arvensis Plantaginis majoris folia Chamomillae Calendulae Urticae folia. Phytopreparations herba, are demonstrated highest chelating potential. These can be used a basis for further studies medicinal material.
